Q. Can I get items from other libraries?

What if I want a book or article that the Fant Library doesn't have?

Answer

Yes, you can get a book from another library by placing a Hold or Interlibrary Loan.

Interlibrary Loans (ILL)

If you find an item that Fant Library does not have, you can order that item through Interlibrary Loan.

HOLDS

If you find an item in the Classic Catalog that is not in Fant Library, but another library in the Mississippi Library Partnership consortium, you can click on the "Place Hold" button, and it will be delivered to you, free of charge. Placing a hold on an item at Fant Library means that the item will be pulled from the shelf and assigned to you as the person who will check-out the item. You will be notified by email when your item is ready to be picked-up.

If you want to cancel this hold, log in to your library account, click on the Holds tab, select the item you want to cancel, and click "cancel hold(s)."
