How do I sign up to receive SMS notifications regarding my library account?
FAQ CONTENT: How do I opt-in for SMS/Text messages notifications from the library?
1 – Log into your library account.
Go to the library website www.muw.edu/library and select the “Book” button under the discovery search filed.
Click on “Log In” on the top right of the page.
Enter your MUW ID number (950) as well as the last four digits of your MUW ID number.
2. Now you are logged in to your account. The next step is to opt into SMS messaging. Go to “My Account” on the top right of the screen.
3. Select the Personal Information Tab and click on the SMS Notification arrow. Select the “Add SMS Notification” button.
4. Complete the requested information.
- “Label” is the name you want to give this phone number. For example: Sam's Cell
- Click on the types of text messages you would like to receive from the library.
- Bill notices – You will be informed on any fines on your account.
- Overdue notices – You will be notified of materials that will be due soon or are already overdue.
- Hold pickup notices – You will receive messages when requested items have come in and are ready for you to pick up.
- Manual Messages – You will receive personalized messages from our staff regarding your account. For example, if you have an Interlibrary Loan Item that has arrived and is ready for pickup.
- General announcements– You will receive announcements that are meant for all library users. (Honestly, we don’t plan to use this option at this time.)
- Click “Save.”
5. You are done! If at any time you want to opt-out of SMS notifications follow the same steps, but select the garbage can icon next to your Label name you created.
