How do I play a DVD in the library?
Before you get started, you will need to have headphones. If you don't have headphones, you can borrow some from the library. Just go to the front desk to check them out.
Log onto the computer. On the computer tower press the small rectangular button.
The drawer will pop out. Gently secure the DVD to the drawer as shown (you will hear a snap) and close the drawer.
Go to the apps folder on the computer screen and select VCL Media Player.
Select "Playback" from the menu running along the top of the screen and the "Play" from the drop down menu.
You will then see a dialog box. Select the tab labeled "Disc" and then select the "Play" button on the lower right of the dialogue box.
The DVD should start playing. The controls such as stop, rewind, and volume etc. are on the bottom of the screen. You will see what each button does if you hover over each button.
Once the DVD is over you can turn off the program and press the rectangular button on the DVD drawer on the computer tower. Gentle press the center button and the DVD should pop out.
