What are Boolean operators?

Boolean operators are the words AND, OR, and NOT.  These terms are used when refining a search.  For example you are researching the subject of comics, specifically zombies in comics.

If you want to find articles with both terms type "zombies AND comics."

If you want to find articles with either terms type "zombies OR comics."

If you are getting articles including an unwanted term, like superheroes, exclude that term by typing "comics NOT superheroes."
